Our services are informal as we don’t follow a set order of service. We start at 10:30am and finish about 11:45. On the first Sunday of the month we share communion together.
When we meet together in worship we believe that Jesus is present, by our faith. Because of this we expect God to inspire us and speak to us through the service, through the Bible and through others in the congregation.
We start with a time of worship, singing songs both new and old, that can be upbeat or reflective.
We’re running through the whole Bible using the videos from the What’s in the Bible? series. We have activity packs for the children to colour in with puzzles and games around the video theme. At the end of the service the children are usually asked some questions about the video clip they saw earlier and get a sweet if they can answer the questions correctly! For the younger ones, we have a selection of toys in the coffee lounge area at the back of the church, and we’re very happy for them to run around during the service!
Towards the end of service, a speaker will share a message from the Bible. This message encourages us in what God is doing in our lives, answers questions about issues we face in daily life and challenges us to live for God.
After the service is over, we offer a chance for people to ask for prayer for any of their concerns.
Tea, coffee, biscuits and cake are served in the coffee lounge – a great place to ask questions about faith and catch up on other people’s news.
